About Us
Who Are We?
Thank you for visiting our site! My name is Jen Russell, Owner and Head Trainer. I have always loved animals and although I decided to become a teacher, working with dogs was never far from my mind. By the time we adopted Murphy in 2014, we were his third owners! In such a short amount of time, he had learned that humans = failure! I had never worked with a puppy with so many trust issues, but we came together as a family in order to teach Murphy how to make positive connections to the outside world. In addition to private lessons, Murphy and I completed multiple Puppy Kindergarten and Basic Manner Classes together. It was through training that I learned to understand Murphy's needs and how to speak his language. Today, at the age of 5, Murphy is a happy, more well-rounded dog. He is truly my heart on four legs! We continue to work together every day, and whether that means through outdoor training sessions or hard-core snugglefests on the couch, we are in this together!
Why are we here?
Murphy is the inspiration behind my desire to help pet owners understand their puppies and dogs through force-free, positive-reinforcement training. The bond we share is one that I hope every dog family will have with their own dog(s)!
As a Certified Dog Trainer, I am here to show you how to use treats/food, toys, and praise to work with your dog, understand his/her needs, and how to enjoy your time together!
